Mission Statement
The Albion Middle School Counseling Center is committed to being an advocate for all students.  We provide direct services to students through a systemic approach to dropout prevention (individual and group counseling), collaborative classroom instruction, and individual planning through the Plan for College and Career Readiness process. It is our goal to assist students in feeling academically and socially successful while here at Albion Middle School.
Process of Delivery
Various methods of delivery are employed through Albion Middle School's College and Career Readiness Comprehensive School Counseling Program to ensure that all students are served equitably.  Four components have been identified as fundamental elements of our program by the Utah State Model:
    * Collaborative Classroom Instruction
    * Individual Planning (Plan for College & Career Readiness Process)
    * Systemic Approach to Dropout Prevention (Individual and Small Group Counseling)
    * System Support
The percentage of time allocated for each of these four components may vary according to student and school needs.  At least 85% of a counselor's time should be spent in direct services to students.  Collaborative Classroom Instruction, Individual Planning, and a Systemic Approach to Dropout Prevention are all ways counselors provide direct services to students at Albion Middle School.  The remaining 15% of a counselor's time should be spent in System Support (the planning, running, and organization of our program).
