Students can earn high school AND college credit at the same time. College credit is only earned if students pass the comprehensive AP exam at the end of the school year. High school credit is earned when the student passes the class.

High school credit is earned when the student passes the class. The grade earned in CE classes is placed on a student's permanent college transcript and will be factored into their college GPA.

Individual IB Classes
The IB Diploma Program is one of the most academically rigorous college-prep options a student may select in high school. The IB Career Program combines IB classes with a CTEC program or CTE area of emphasis. Lastly, students at HHS are invited to take individual IB classes for college credit.
CTEC offers a wide array of programs for Juniors and Seniors to explore their career interest while earning Concurrent Enrollment (CE) college credit at the same time. CTEC is a wonderful way to personalize a student's education.
Studentsat Alta have the opportunity to earn up to 30 semester credits through the University of Utah through this program which starts the summer after their Junior year and continues the summer after they graduate high school. Courses are taught by University of Utah professors.
